Upcoming Event: Le Garage Sale

The best part about the winter Le Garage Sale (besides being able to get great deals) is knowing that stores will now be stocked with their Spring clothing (wooo)! Le Garage Sale is back and this time the huge sale that takes place twice a year is at a new location.  Previously held at the Palmer Events Center, Le Garage Sale has now moved to the Austin Convention Center.  If you've never been to Le Garage Sale, what you can expect to find this weekend is discounted merchandise from an array of local boutiques.

• $10 cash entry at the door

Outfit: Happy Birthday Tribeza

The fabulous Tribeza magazine celebrated their 10th anniversary Friday night with an awesome and exclusive party.   The party was "cocktail attire" which is always fun because you never know what you are going to see people in Austin wear when a party is cocktail attire.  It's pretty much a free for all.  Jeans? Sure! Nice dress? Sure! Cowboy hat? Yep.  T-shirt? Yes, they were all there.  I didn't take any style photos at this event because I just wanted to relax and have fun.  I did however snap a few really quick photos of what I wore before I headed out the door:

Le Garage Sale

It's that time again.  The end of the winter fashion season is here, which means (besides the fact that I'm already getting excited about the thought of wearing summer dresses) there are major deals out there for us to take advantage of.

Le Garage Sale is a huge sale that takes place at the Palmer Events Center twice a year.  Tons of local boutiques come together in one spot to sell their discounted merchandise in order to get ready and make room for a new season of clothes.  To find out more about what you can expect to see at Le Garage Sale, check out this post I did about Le Garage back in September.  There is also a video that I did for News 8 Austin (which is now apparently called YNN... weird).

Check out the Le Garage website for a list of all the stores participating (there are a lot!).  And remember that admission is $10 per day and Cash Only at the door.

Le Garage Sale Keeps Austin Stylish on a Budget

A garage sale doesn't always take place in a garage.  It doesn't always consist of dusty books, used baby strollers, and deteriorating vhs copies of "Home Alone".  The "Le" in Le Garage Sale should tell you that this is not your uncle's garage sale.

Le Garage Sale is the shopping event that takes place at the end of the season, bringing some of Austin's favorite boutiques together in one place to sell their merchandise at majorly discounted prices.

This weekend Le Garage took place at the Palmer Events Center with booths set up by boutiques such as By George, Stella Says Go, Kick Pleat, SoLa, Adelante, and Estilo to name a few.  There were definitely some great deals to be taken advantage of.

To everything (turn, turn, turn).  There is a season (turn, turn, turn)  The seasons are turning.  Summer is ending and fall is around the corner.  Not only does this mean we can soon start thinking about layering and wearing knee high boots.  This also means all the boutiques are in desperate need to get rid of what's left of their summer stock!  Le Garage Sale is the shopping event that brings all the local boutiques under one roof so that you can shop all the discounted merchandise in one place.  It takes place over 2 days at the Palmer Events Center.

$12 per person per day.
2 day pass is available for $20 per person.
Tickets are CASH ONLY and available at the door.  Most booths are cash only as well.

Le Garage Sale Winter 2010

The local boutiques are having their winter sales right now to get rid of all their fall and winter clothes to make way for new spring stuff! But what happens to the clothes that don't get sold at these sales?

Le Garage Sale is the 2 day shopping event in which our local boutiques come together in one place, the Palmer Events Center, to bring you clothes and accessories at major clearance sale prices.

This event is going on Saturday January 30 noon - 5pm
and Sunday January 31 noon - 5pm

Admission is $10 a day per person or you can get a 2 day pass for $15.

If you are going to go, I suggest you go the first day and go early! But going on the second day is also cool because sometimes the stores mark down their prices even more the second day.
