Here's what everyone else wore:
Designer Louise Black who you might remember from Project Runway. She also happened to have one of my favorite looks on the runway this night.
2 Big Trends of the night:
1) Turquoise Jewelry
2) Tights in the middle of August (I don't know how y'all survived)
One of my favorite parts of the night, in true Austin fashion, was a wacky and rebellious unscheduled appearance of what Indiana from Adored Austin dubbed as the "Clown Crashers." A bus full of clowns (slightly frightening, children's birthday party type clowns) showed up trying to get their "stylish" photos taken. I was informed by Austin Fashion Week people to not take this photo because I was apparently encouraging this behavior. Did that stop me? Of course not.
The clowns were a healthy reminder to all of us to not take fashion so seriously.
Another exciting moment was getting to see a reserved seat (in the front row no less) for "keep austin stylish." This is how I roll...
The party was started by Tiffany, yes THAT Tiffany (the 80s pop singer who used to tour malls). She kicked off her heels (literally) citing her bare feet as a "fashion faux pas" while getting the crowd pumped up and ready to jam. Here's my Pop Up Video (remember that show on Vh1?) of Tiffany performing "I Think We're Alone Now":
After the 80s flashback, there was a stellar fashion show with the first fashions by Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent and Robert Stock for Robert Graham. I really liked the inside detailing of the men's jackets by Robert Graham.
My favorite part, however, was getting to see the Mash Up Team photos come to life and walk the runway.

I hope y'all have fun going to all the Austin Fashion events this week!
