Denim And Lace

Hi all! Sandhya here from livinwide, covering the Denim and Lace Austin Fashion Week Event for Joanna who is (hopefully) shopping her way through Taiwan.

The event was held at Hem Jeans and while I was a little disappointed that it wasn't an actual runway show, I still had a great time:

Megan Summerville, a friend from the Austin Fashion blogger's lunches, the fabulous brainchild of Sew Sister, and Texas' Next Top Designer of 2009 had a presentation of a never-before-seen corset...

...and an interview with KVUE!

                             

The gorgeous corset is made from modern lace and linen.

Everyone enjoyed some refreshing summer cocktails made with lavender syrup.

                               

And of course there was plenty of local Austin Fashion:

And statement necklaces were definitely the trend of the night:
