Les Artistes: The Revolution

Les Artistes: The Revolution is an event showcasing art and fashion by local artists.   "The purpose of Les Artistes is threefold: to revolutionize people’s relationship with the arts by encouraging them to see art in different mediums and forms of expression; to encourage each individual to take it upon themselves to create positive change now and for future generations; and most importantly to bring people together from all walks of life through our shared love of the arts."

The art show portion of the event will begin at 8pm and include one collage artist, two photographers, one portrait artist, and two painters.  The fashion show will begin at 9:30 and feature four up-and-coming Austin designers who have been designing their own clothing for years and have been working on their new collections to display to the public.  These fashion designers are Aaron Torres, Brandy Harris, Lindsey White, and Malissa Long.  If you'd like to get an idea of the talent you should expect to see at the show, you can go to Malissa Long's website and check out her work.  Thank you Malissa for telling me about this event.  It sounds like it's going to be incredible.

The proceeds from this event will benefit The Heather Deering Foundation.  To learn more abut her story and the foundation visit www.heatherdeeringcancerfoundation.com
